Microlife: Fish Creek Park - Draparnaldia from creek

Jul 3-7, 2008

This was a sample of some rocks covered in green algae, which proved to be Draparnaldia, from a shallow puddle in the creek that was sheltered from the current. I have not been able to find my more detailed notes on what types were common here, so will have to leave the images to speak for themselves.

↬ Thanks to Michael Plewka, author of plingfactory: life in water, for the identification of Cephalodella and to Bruce Taylor, author of It Came from the Pond, for the identification of Tetmemena.
