Previous sample
This sample was from Glenmore Reservoir near the docks where driftwood was collecting along the shore. In the water itself narrow-leaved green plants were piling up, one of which was taken. There were also a few amphipods in the sample, as well as some smaller leeches and other worms.
Microscopic life was fairly sparse but diverse. The most common were flat spirotrichs. Several types of rotifers occurred on or around the leaves, as well as Pandorina. There were also some fast ciliates away from them, mainly round orangish spirotrichs but also some others not photographed, e.g. clear Paramecium and Caenomorpha.
